Starting the process

After a long period of saving and scrimping, my Ladylove and I have purchased our first home.  She's a 1984 Winnebago Chieftain.  We had been weighing different options: Motor home, 5th wheel trailer and truck, van or van conversion, school bus...

The reason for this is not to have a camping or part-time home, but rather as our full-time residence.  Our decision was to take our show on the road. Below, you can see the results of our efforts.  In a nod to Joss Wheedon's prematurely cancelled Firefly, we've dubbed our new beauty Serenity.  If you haven't seen it, and the follow-up feature film, we highly recommend it.

 As this is a first post, it is necessarily short and to the point. Keep your eyes here for updates as we prepare for, and finally, hit the road!!
